Bbuck On & Off - Exhibition

BBUCK[뻑] – ON & OFF Art Exhibition

BBUCK[뻑] – ON & OFF is a special art exhibition featuring the works of 30 “artainers” – artists who both entertain and create art. The list includes not only well-known Korean celebrities such as Shinhwa member Lee Min Woo (M), entertainer Jun Hyun Moo, and singer Kim Wan Sun, but also international celebrities such as Russian model Angelina Danilova, American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan and American actor and musician Johnny Depp. Also on display are works by artists Nam June Paik and Jean-Michel Basquiat.

The title of the exhibition, “Bbuck,” refers to the Korean slang term for when a computer crashes and is often used to describe a situation that’s gone awry, while “on & off” represents the online and offline spaces in which these mishaps happen.

Lee Jung Kwon, the general director of the exhibition, shares that the exhibition talks about how Earth has gone ‘bbuck,’ with the overload of plastic in the real world and the violence in the online world. That’s why the exhibition is also collaborating with global nonprofit Greenpeace to educate visitors on various methods to reduce the usage of plastic in their everyday lives. All profits from the exhibition will also be donated to the nonprofit.

The exhibition opens daily from 10am to 7pm, with a special art night event every Saturday from 8pm to midnight featuring different artists and musicians. You can book your tickets via Interpark Ticket here or on-site!
