Kiss of Life - Kiss Road Tour in Singapore

(x)clusive!: Kiss Of Life: Looking Back, Kissys Were in Every Memory

The four-member girl group, Kiss of Life (KIOF in short), were back in Singapore last Friday for their first world tour ‘KISS ROAD’ in Singapore. Prior to the concert, the quartet had also separately had a fansign and performed at the Yuewen Music Festival here in Singapore.

Singapore Kissys (KIOF’s fans) were in for a real treat, especially after having only experienced a brief 10-minute live performance from the girls during their previous appearance in the city. Their popularity was evident from the long lines of fans waiting to enter the theatre, and we were truly surprised to see the floor at the Capitol Theatre completely packed with Kissys, filling the cozy venue to the brim. Many were dancing, taking selfies and just vibing to the group’s music played in the background.

With the background music gradually getting louder and lights slowly dimming, the girls kick-started their concert with ‘Get Loud’. It’s no surprise they’ve earned the title of 4th Gen Vocal Avengers, as the quartet performed their hits such as ‘Igloo’, ‘Midas Touch’, ‘Nobody Knows’ and their song ‘Shhh’. Every move and every note showed just why they are one of the most thrilling groups to experience live.

If you’re a Kissy, the members’ solo stages are always a cherry on top. Haneul set the crowd buzzing when she made a surprise entrance through the side door for ‘Play Love Games’, getting close and interacting with fans. Belle blew everyone away with her powerhouse vocals in ‘Countdown’, Julie lit up the stage with her fierce groove in ‘Kitty Cat’, and Natty’s ‘Sugarcoat’ served major 90s nostalgia, sweeping fans back in time.

The next wave of songs kept the momentum rolling as ‘No One’ and ‘808’ had fans jumping  and singing along, with a touching moment created as hundreds of flashlights lit up the venue, creating a sea of light during ‘Nothing’.

In their closing ment, the girls reflected on their journey. “Looking back, there were Kissys in every memory”, “You are the reason we sing and the motivation for our growth”. Julie promised that the group will definitely be back in Singapore on their next tour, and teased that they will be coming back soon!
