Who else is excited about cinemas reopening in Singapore?! We are! Purple Plan is bringing you the latest Korean blockbuster, Steel Rain: Summit, a film about a tripartite summit in North Korea to discuss the Korean war which has been at a stalemate since 1953. Can the three parties, North and South Korea, and the US, sign a peace treaty and officially end the war?

Synopsis of Steel Rain: Summit

South Korean president Han Kyeong-Jae (played by Jung Woo Sung) is working towards getting a peace treaty signed between North Korea and USA, and eventually ending the Korean War which has been at a stalemate since 1953. The three leaders, South Korean president Han Kyeong-Jae, North Korean leader (played by Yoo Yeon-Seok) and the U.S. president (played by Angus Macfadyen) gather for a summit in North Korea to discuss the possibility of ending the Korean War. Unfortunately, a coup takes place in the country, led by Supreme Guard Command Chief (played by Kwak Do-Won), who is strongly against the peace treaty. All three leaders are kidnapped and trapped in a North Korean nuclear submarine. Can they escape and bring peace to the Korean peninsula?
