Any history buffs in the house? You may want to check out the upcoming movie The Battle: Roar to Victory starring Ryu Jun Yeol, Yoo Hai Jin and Jo Woo Jin which is based on the Bongodong Battle between the Korean Independence Army and the Japanese Army in the 1920s, during Korea’s fight for independence from Japan. Even if you’re not interested in historical events, you may still want to catch this movie if you’re into action films!
Synopsis of The Battle: Roar To Victory:
The Battle: Roar To Victory presents Korea in the 1920s, under Japanese rule. Korean Independence Army’s Hae Chul (played by Yoo Hai Jin) and his subordinates are carrying out an operation to deliver funds to the Korean Provisional Government in Shanhai. During this operation, Hae Chul is reunited with Jang Ha (played by Ryu Jun Yeol), a young squad commander whose mission is to defend Samdunja. They both unite and trapped the Japanese soldiers in Samdunja, defeating them. However, their fight is far from over and they find themselves being chased by Japanese troops. How will the independence fighters win the Bongodong Battle?
