Meet HYUKOH, the band responsible for stirring up the Korean indie scene and proudly claiming the title ‘Band of the New Generation’. The band encapsulates the essence of youth — wild and free but also empty and deserted — not only through their music but also through their videos, fashion and live performances. Following a dazzling series of sellout shows in Asia and upcoming gigs across North America, HYUKOH will finally make their long-awaited live debut in Singapore this November.
The band debuted in September 2014 with their EP ’20’ and gained popularity solely by word-of-mouth, without any media promotion. In May 2015, HYUKOH released their second EP ‘22’, which charted in the Top 10 of Billboard’s ‘World Albums’ chart. The band undeniably became the hottest Korean indie outfit of their time, opening for international indie acts such as Mac DeMarco, How to Dress Well and Erlend Øye. HYUKOH also played at major festivals such as Seoul Jazz Festival and Ansan Valley Rock Festival. Their unstoppable rise continued, with their 22 Year-End concert selling out in less than two minutes after tickets went on sale. This year, HYUKOH is changing the game yet again with their first full-length album, ‘23’, released in April to rave reviews.
