Super Junior-M member, Henry, was in town recently for the Singapore Entertainment Awards 2014 Celebration Party, where he picked up his awards for the “Most Popular K-Pop Music Video” for Trap (his debut solo song) and the “SPH Media Award – Asia’s Rising Star”.
In addition, on behalf of Super Junior and Super Junior-M, Henry received the “Most Popular Group“, the “Most Popular Korean Singer” and the “Most Popular U-Weekly Cover“.
With so many awards won that night, it was no wonder why Henry was reluctant to part with them before he performed. The mischievous and playful Henry also took to hugging the ‘big boss’ when he received his awards, in an attempt to show his appreciation.
Henry performed 1-4-3, Holiday and Trap, songs from his first solo debut album.
During his interview segment, Henry taught fans part of the choreography to Trap and shared, “I love speaking in English because it’s so easy, easier than speaking in Chinese.”
Henry was also requested by the MCs to speak with regards to how he felt about his fans in Mandarin and he gamely agreed to “speak in awesome Chinese”. Pulling a page from group mate Donghae’s book, he started off with calling everyone his ‘lovely darlings’.
Henry also told the fans, “The other members miss Singapore a lot and want to come back really quick. Next time when I come back, I’ll definitely bring the whole team for a full concert. I also promise to be a better soldier (on the variety show Real Men). I’m going to work even harder!”
