Launch Entertainment and One Production are pleased to announce that Korean pop sensation G-Dragon, Taeyang and Seungri of BIGBANG will be returning to Singapore in March for an exclusive fanmeet. Besides song performances, fans can expect to see another side of these BIGBANG members as they engage in several stage activities with their fans.
Since the group’s formation in 2006, BIGBANG has been winning awards internationally with over 100 awards, including “Best Male Group” and “Artist of the Year” at the Mnet Asian Music Awards in 2012. Following the massive success of BIGBANG’s first world tour, Alive Tour 2012, members went on to pursue solo activities but returned together in 2013 to open F1 Singapore Grand Prix with a strong crowd of 35,000 fans.
In 2009, G-Dragon debut his solo album, Heartbreaker that sold over 200,000 copies and won the Mnet Asian Music Awards for “Album of the Year”. Recently, he released his second solo album, Coup D’Etat that earned him the “Most Popular International Artist Award” at the Todou Young Choice Music Awards 2013. He also received “Artist of the Year”, “Best Music Video”, “Best Male Artist”, and “Best Dance Performance” at the Mnet Asian Music Awards 2013.
Taeyang‘s first full-length album Solar that debut in 2010 was sold out on the first day of release and charted the second spot on iTunes’ Top R&B Soul albums chart in the United States and the top spot in Canada’s. He was the first Asian music artist to clinch those spots. In 2013, Taeyang returned as a solo artist with the release of his song, Ringa Linga that ranked first on 7 South Korean music charts and 5 foreign iTunes charts, including Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Vietnam and Macao.
Joining G-Dragon and Taeyang is BIGBANG’s multitalented Seungri. In 2011, Seungri released his first solo mini-album with singles, “VVIP” and “What Can I Do” that won a triple crown on M! Countdown. A new song from his Japanese version of his second solo album, Let’s Talk About Love, was released in 2013 and will be used as the theme song for his upcoming Japanese drama. He also became the first international artist who clinched a hosting role on a regular cable show in Japan.
Known for their unique and infectious beats, BIGBANG always brings on an electrifying stage performance. At this exclusive fan meeting, fans will expect an energy filled live performance by the dynamic trio as well as getting up-close and personal with them in interactive stage games. Fans can catch G-Dragon, Taeyang and Seungri of BIGBANG at Singapore Indoor Stadium on 15 March 2014!
This fan meet is the first the trio has ever done in Singapore. The entire fan meet will last up to 2 hours with a mini concert and interactive stage games. Fans can expect up to 14 songs sang including individual acts by the trio and group performance songs items! There will also be individual stage games which a lot of Singapore fans have not seen before and definitely a memorable moment with the trio members!
Lucky fans from Category 1 and Category 2 will be chosen to get up-close and personal with the trio members on stage. Category 1 and Category 2 ticket holders are also entitled to an exclusive Thinking of You Fanmeet T-shirt. T-shirts to be redeemed at event venue with ticket stubs as verification. Sizes availability is on a first come first served basis.
