As part of Korea Tourism Organization’s effort to promote Gangwon-do and its attractions (the venue for the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics), a K-POP Festival was held in Wonju on September 28th. To spice things up a little, a cover dance contest was also held simultaneously during the festival, where cover dance teams from various countries, who won the online preliminaries, were invited to compete in Korea at the grand finals, in addition to a free trip around Korea.

The highlight of the event was no doubt the star-studded line-up of popular Hallyu groups KARA, U-Kiss, NU’ EST, VIXX, SPICA, A-JAX, Big Star, DAL★SHABET and A-Prince, where they performed for the open broadcast recording as part of this K-POP Festival.

Despite the slight drizzle that night, the atmosphere for the K-POP Festival was no doubt high and the performers were literally kicking up a splash on the stage.
