Singapore, 28 August 2012 – Aspiring K-Pop fans will be one step closer to fulfilling their dreams as tvN K-Pop Star Hunt S2 unveils the top winners for the Singapore’s leg of the regional talent competition this weekend.
Since the deadline for video submissions ended last Sunday night, organizers including tvN, Cube Entertainment and CJ E&M have been shortlisting talents from close to 1,000 submitted entries from Singapore for the first round of audition to be held this Saturday, 1 September 2012 at StarHub Green.
The top finalists emerging from the first audition will proceed to take centre stage at Plaza Singapura, Level 1, Main Atrium, for the performance audition the following day, Sunday, 2 September 2012 where the winners will jet off to Seoul for professional training with Cube Entertainment! The ultimate winner of tvN K-Pop Star Hunt S2 will receive an intensive professional training for K-POP Singer by CJ E&M and Cube Entertainment, along with an album release and even a chance to make a debut stage appearance on 2013 MAMA, the leading international music award show in Korea.
Singapore will be the third country to hold the auditions for this regional contest, after Hong Kong and Taiwan. The recently concluded auditions saw an overwhelming response from K-Pop enthusiasts during the walk-in audition, a new element which was introduced especially for the second season of tvN K-Pop Star Hunt.
To create more opportunities for aspiring K-Pop stars, Singapore’s leg of the talent hunt will follow suit with a walk-in audition, set to take place on Saturday, 1 September at StarHub Green.
tvN is also proud to announce the returning panel of Season 1’s judges; Mr. Eddy Tan, Vice President, Programming, tvN, [V] and Star World, FOX International Channels (FIC), Mr. Park Jae-Hyun, General Department Head of Rookie Development Division, CUBE Entertainment as well as Ms. Irene Ang, Founder and CEO of FLY Entertainment Pte Ltd.
These esteemed judges will be on a mission to select the cream of the crop from Singapore to battle it out with regional contestants from the Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand as well as Vietnam in Seoul, Korea.
