(x)clusive!: Bring the Boyz Out! Coverage of Boyz Nite Out Concert

Guest Writer: Flora

It was truly an unforgettable night for the mostly female crowd at the Boyz Night Out concert held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium last Friday. More than 3000 fans were treated with both visual and musical pleasures by Teen Top, B1A4, 7.9.4.2, Jay Park and SHINee!

Act I: Teen Top

Opening the concert was the charismatic teenage boy group Teen Top, performing their latest hit, To You. With their sleek moves and sexy body waves, fans went into frenzy, shouting names of their favourites. Thereafter, they greeted Singapore fans with much delight and expressed their happiness to be back here again. After some teasing with the fans, the six went on to perform the rest of their popular songs such as Girlfriend, The Back Of Your Hand Brushes Mine, No More Perfume On You and Crazy.

Act II: B1A4

Up next were the five adorable boys of B1A4 who were more than ready to show what they got for their fans, singing their favourite songs like Beautiful Target, Baby I’m Sorry, Only Learned Bad Things and Baby Good Night. For each performance, the boys were having so much fun, showing off their cute charms, posing for cameras now and then.

A special event was prepared for member CNU, who was celebrating his birthday the next day. BANAs (fans of B1A4) were so sweet as to prepare a present filled with birthday greetings and lovely messages for him. The entire stadium even sang a birthday song! Before blowing out the candles, the birthday boy wished for B1A4 and BANAs to be together forever, receiving massive cheers from the audience.

Act III: 7.9.4.2 (CGSE)

Next to take the stage was rookie vocal group 7.9.4.2, who serenaded fans with their vocals, singing tracks like I’ll Be Famous and The More I See You (OST of the drama Saranghae, I Love You, which member Eungjoo took part in). Stating that the concert was one of their first overseas appearance, the four men definitely captured the hearts of many, as the audience swayed their light sticks to the melodious tunes. Thereafter, they performed a medley of Korean songs from the likes of their seniors in the industry such as ‘Paradise’, the hit soundtrack by T-Max from the drama Boys Over Flowers.

Act IV: Jay Park

Not a stranger to Singapore fans, hottie Jay Park took the stage like a pro, bringing the atmosphere up to a notch. Though this would mark his 3rd time in Singapore within a year, he said that he felt great to be back, to see his fans again. Performing dance numbers like Know Your Name, Got Your Back, Star, Nothing on You and Girlfriend, his hip-hop moves and suave glides charmed the audience – and yes, he did remove his top during his final performance, showing his defined abs, leaving screaming fans wanting for more.

Act V: SHINee

With no introduction needed for the next group, SHINee had no doubt the loudest cheers from the night, wrapping up the concert as the final act. They started their performance with debut track Replay and when they performed past hits like Ring Ding Dong and Lucifer, deafening fan chants and loud screams filled the stadium!

Although rapper Minho couldn’t make it due to his schedules back in Korea, Jonghyun spoke for the group and promised to be back with all five members the next time. After a short video montage, the irresistible boys came back on stage, performing their latest tracks, Stranger and Sherlock.

Final Act: The Finale

The concert ended with a finale that gathered all the performers back on stage (with the exception of Teen Top) and they extended their messages and heartfelt thanks to the fans that were present.

Much kudos to all the artistes and staff and organiser Launch Entertainment for the concert, and we hope to hear about a ‘Girlz Nite Out’ concert soon!
