For the first time in Singapore, Korean power-vocal group 8eight will be performing for the Opening Charity Night for Men’s Fashion Week 2012. Men’s Fashion Week is back and this year, the event which celebrates ingenuous talents of menswear fashion will also be focusing on emerging as well as established talents in the music industry. Last year for the first time in Singapore, MFW 2011 showcased top international, regional and local labels and designers, and Korean boy group TOUCH also made an appearance. What to expect for Men’s Fashion Week? (for you Korean lovers)
Korean Fashion
Famous fashion designer SONGZIO will return to MFW this year – some of his works can be found worn by Korean stars such as 2PM, Rain, Super Junior, TVXQ and Won Bin, to name a few.
Other Korean fashion labels that will also be showcasing their work are Beyond Closet, D.GNAK, General Idea, Resurrection and Vandal.
Korean Music
It was announced at the press conference of Men’s Fashion Week 2012 that artistes from Japan and Korea will be invited to perform at Men’s Fashion Week 2012. The artists that will be performing from Korea are:
8eight (Performing on 18 and 19 April)
Sungha Jung & Megan Lee (Performing on 18 and 19 April)
Se7en (Performing on 19 April)
Royal Pirates (Performing on 21 April)
Other artistes who will be performing are H Zett M, Kamiji Yusuke, Yuna Ito, Eli T., BIE KPN.
MFW Opening Charity Night
Date: 18 April 2012 (Wednesday)
Time: 6.30PM
Venue: Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Center, Hall F
The Opening Charity Night will also showcase Songzio and Spencer Hart‘s fashion pieces. Tickets go at $180, and all proceeds will go to charity.
