The Seoul Music Awards is an awards show founded in 1990 that is presented annually for outstanding achievements in the music industry in S. Korea. Winners for the 2011 awards included Girls’ Generation, miss A, SHINee, FT Island, B2ST, CNBlue and IU. For 2012, the event will take place on 19 January in Seoul.

Bonsang Award:
“Bonsang (Main Awards) is awarded to the best 10 Artists of the year by calculating album and digital sales with online voting popularity and a final judging from all judges of the award.”
Newcomer Award:
“Newcomer Awards of the Year are awarded to the newcomer performers of the year.”
Popularity Award:
“Popularity Awards of the Year are awarded to the performers who gained popularity of the year.”
It’s still not too late to get those tickets for those who are intending to seize on this opportunity.
