[KTO] Konjiam Resort
Fancy skiing somewhere near the city of Seoul? Konjiam Resort will be the choice for you as it is located just 40 minutes from the city of Seoul. There are nine slopes in Konjiam Resort catering to the different level of skill of skiers. There are 2 beginner slopes, 6 intermediate and 2 advance slopes. For those who have yet to ski before, skiing and snowboarding lessons are provided in the resort.
I was impressed with the rooms in Konjiam. They are spacious and the rooms come with a kitchenette with a dining area where you can hang out with family and friends. It is great place for family or friends gathering.
If you are hungry in the middle of the night, Konjiam Resort also has a convenience store within the resort where you can purchase last minute food supplies making it a very self-sufficient resort to stay in. The landscape in Konjiam is good, I like how they blend nature with modern architecture and Western style houses. It really reminds me of when I was at a ski resort in Whistler, Canada.
Konjiam also have a spa facility – Spa La Spa. At Spa La Spa, you can indulge yourself in one of the many therapeutic programs from yoga and dance to sauna therapy and skin care. They also provide a wellness program and stone therapy to light therapy. During my stay in Konjiam, I tried using their pool facilities in the spa. One may assume that bath towels will be provided, however, please be advice that you need to pay 2,000 won for a bath towel.
When you are there, try dipping yourself into the outdoor pool. I know, you may think that going outdoors with just your swimsuit is crazy. Believe me that thought came across my mind as well. But trust me; it’s the best relaxing feeling ever. When you immerse yourself in the outdoor pool, you wont feel cold at all, in fact the waters is nice and warm, plus sitting down in the outdoor pool, you’ll be treated to a magnificent surroundings of the ski slopes and mountains. It’s not a sight that you can get to enjoy in Singapore.
If you are feeling adventurous, Konjiam also offers a 3.8km hiking trail that will take you about 2 hours to complete and a 1.7km boardwalk trail which will take you about 30 minutes to complete.
