Decked in a white suit, NU`EST W’s Ren (also known as Choi Minki), looked every bit an angel when he made an appearance at aPM mall earlier this afternoon for his Mini Live and Special Fansign event, held in conjunction with the mall’s Summer Kick Off Opening Ceremony.
Despite arriving in Hong Kong mere hours ago, Ren was in smiles throughout the event, mesmerizing those present with his boyish charms. Lucky fans even got the chance to play games on stage with Ren, who got to show off his dancing skills and drawing abilities.
Ren’s not new to Hong Kong — although this is his first solo schedule in Hong Kong without his NU`EST W members, it’s actually Ren’s fourth time here. This time around, he mentioned that he would like to enjoy the night view, visit a night market, and of course, have some dimsum, if time permitted. Ren also shared his ambitious dream of working with his favourite Hong Kong actor, Stephen Chow, should the opportunity arise, and confessed to watching ‘Shaolin Soccer’ fifty times!
The idol also treated fans with his rendition of ‘Hello (여보세요)’ and his solo track ‘Paradise’. When asked about his lyrics composition abilities, Ren shyly admitted that ‘Paradise’ was his first try, but he would really like to lend Baekho, who is actively participating in the music composition and lyrics writing for NU`EST W’s albums, a hand in the future. ㄴㅇㅅㅌs, is this a major hint that Ren is dropping for their upcoming album? Let us all anticipate what Ren will present and showcase in the near future!
Even though he felt extra lonely without his members, Ren was thankful for all the love and support given to him, making this trip all the more memorable. He also promised that he would challenge himself and attempt a Cantonese song as a gift for Hong Kong ㄴㅇㅅㅌs the next time he is back in the city.
Being the angel he always is, Ren charmed ㄴㅇㅅㅌs with his lovely personality and genuine smiles, often responding enthusiastically with a wave or a finger-heart whenever his name was called. If anything, our team is looking forward to having NU`EST W/NU’EST back in Hong Kong (and hopefully Singapore) in the near future. Better still, as five.
This event is brought to you by aPM Hong Kong, Opus Two Entertainment Ltd. and Pledis Entertainment.
