Thinking of travelling to Korea for a winter vacation? Why not head over and check out the available travel deals at the carnival? Not only will there be attractive Korea travel packages by ten travel agencies and airlines being offered at a special promotional rate, there will also be Korea representatives from different provinces or cities (Gyeonggi-do Tourism Organization, Jeju Island Tourism Organization, Gangwon-do, Jeollabuk-do, Busan Tourism Organization, Gyeongsangbuk-do and Gwangju Tourism Organization) to assist you with your travel inquiries.

Interested in visiting another part of Korea that is not Seoul, Busan or even Jeju for your next trip, here’s nine reasons why Pyeongchang should be your next travel destination!

What’s a carnival without exciting stage performances! Well-known B-Boy team, Drifterz, who on many occasions represented Korea on international stages and winning multiple awards in the B-Boy dance realm, also performed their fun and energetic choreography on both days.

The highlight of the K-Wave & Winter Travel Carnival has to be the appearance of popular K-Pop boy group, B1A4, and their juniors, ONF.

BANAs (the name of B1A4’s fans) have been waiting at Plaza Hollywood since morning for their idols, and when B1A4 finally made their entrance, the fans responded by giving their most passionate cheers. The meet and greet session comprised of performances of What’s Happening, Baby Goodnight, and Rollin’, which is their latest comeback track. The fan interaction segments in between saw a number of lucky BANAs going on stage for games before taking pictures with the boys.

Since the theme of this K-Wave and Winter Travel Carnival is, as named, about travelling in Korea during winter, B1A4 also shared with everyone some of the things they love to do during the season and gave a couple of recommendations as well. Sandeul said that he is a fan of snowboarding, so winter is a fun time for him because he gets to hit the slopes. Pyeongchang is hosting the Winter Olympics, hence there’s no better time to visit than now! Gongchan also recommended to go skiing. His reason for it? Because skiing is a perfect reason for holding hands! That’s a smart combination of romance with sports.

The members of B1A4 briefly introduced their hometowns as places of interest as well. Sandeul talked about his hometown, Busan, where Haeundae is a really beautiful place, and not just fans, but everyone should visit some time to take in the scenic view. As for the other members, Jinyoung is from Chungju, CNU is from Cheongju, Baro is from Gwangju, and Gongchan is from Suncheon. Besides just visiting Seoul, try other cities and provinces for a change, because all of them have so much to offer too.

Despite having just debuted on 2 August, the members of ONF have been receiving lots of love from overseas fans, including Hong Kong. As this is only the group’s second overseas appearance, the anticipation was raised as they performed four tracks – ON/OFF, Difficult, Original and Cat’s Waltz – from their 1st Mini Album. The fan interaction segments are definitely what the fans were really looking forward to, and a selected few even had the opportunity to learn a little of ONF’s choreography directly from the boys themselves!

Being one of the hottest boy groups of K-Pop, B1A4 was also invited to join the opening ceremony along with Jung Chang Soo (the President of Korea Tourism Organization), Kim Gwan Mi (Branch Head of Korea Tourism Organization Hong Kong) and Yuh Pok Keun (Deputy Consul-General of Korean Consulate General in Hong Kong).

Last but not the least, don’t forget to stick around because there will be a lucky draw where you can win a variety of prizes, including a pair of return economy class air tickets to Seoul!

Be prepared to be wowed by the exciting line-up prepared for you and see you at Plaza Hollywood!
