Kang Ha Neul is Fond of Black Pepper Crab

Director Kim Shares that the Fight Scenes are Real
When talking about the fighting scenes in the movie, Midnight Runners, Director Kim Joo Hwan shared that he deliberately made the two actors ‘fight’ without prior planning and rehearsals, so that the duo will exchange blows based on their instincts, making the scene more realistic. Director Kim added that the audience will be able to see the growth of the two characters through the fighting scenes since both Ki Joon and Hee Yeol are young and hot-blooded amateurs, where their inexperience and lack of knowledge allowed them to make rash decisions.
Working with Park Seo Jun and Director Kim
Kang Ha Neul confessed that he had always wanted to work with Park Seo Jun, so he was really ecstatic when he realised that they were both casted in Midnight Runners. He was also really thankful towards Director Kim for giving him the opportunity to be part of his movie.
Fist-Bump To Represent Friendship
Lucky fans who were chosen to play games with Kang Ha Neul and Director Kim had to re-enact classic scenes from Midnight Runners. Kang Ha Neul chose the fist bump, which signifies the friendship between Hee Yeol and Ki Jun, as the most memorable scene in the movie. Another lucky fan managed to score an arm-wrestling match with Kang Ha Neul. Being the gentleman he is, the actor deliberately lost so that she wins a gift.
Kang Ha Neul Shocked by Confetti?
KITEC’s Director and General Manager, Josephine Lam, and Director and General Manager of Deltamac (Hong Kong) Ltd., Ms Clera Zhu were also invited on stage for the champagne toast. As Kang Ha Neul didn’t expect the explosion of the confetti to be so loud, he was really surprised, so his fans got to see his adorkable side too!
After the ceremony, Kang Ha Neul and Director Kim Joo Hwan made their way to The Metroplex for the meet and greet session, where they presented lucky winners with the official movie poster. Both Kang Ha Neul and Director Kim thanked everyone for their warm welcome and support, and also took a group photo with the fans at the meet and greet to conclude the day.
Midnight Runners is about two new police recruits trying to solve crimes despite having yet to graduate from the Korean National Police University. The two students, Park Ki Joon (Park Seo Joon), and Kang Hee Yeol (Kang Ha Neul) formed a their own crime-solving duo after they first met at school. Coincidently, the two both witnessed a kidnap case, and decided to embark on their journey to solve the crime. They utilized all the theories they’ve learnt at school but due to insufficient evidence, the authorities reached a dead end. This didn’t stop the two passionate amateur police officers; they encountered countless obstacles in their investigations but continued to find out the truth. Their adventure will surely bring laughter and excitement to the audience.
Midnight Runners has already surpassed 4.8 million ticket sales in Korea, and it will be out in theatres on 31st August in Hong Kong.
