Korean Film Festival + Kang Ha Neul Meet-and-Greet in Singapore

Lovers of Korean movies, dramas and all things kimchi, are you ready to catch the latest and hottest Korean films in Singapore?

From 23rd October to 1st November, 40 years of diplomatic relations between South Korea and Singapore will be celebrated through film during the annual Korean Film Festival in Singapore (“KFF”) at the Shaw Theatres Lido. So don’t beat yourself up for not being able to go to the Busan International Film Festival in Korea!


This year, 10 of the most recent Korean films from a variety of genres have been selected to entertain local Singaporean audiences. From heart-warming melodramas such as Ode To My Father (2014) and Love Forecast (2015) to laugh-out-loud comedies such as Twenty (2015) and Detective K: Secret Of The Lost Island (2015), even mystery thrillers like A Hard Day (2014) and adrenaline-pumping action flicks suck as The Divine Move (2014) and Assassination (2015), you will be entertained from the beginning to the end.


Hit summer blockbuster Northern Limit Line (2015) will be the film to kick off KFF2015 at Shaw Lido, and will see acclaimed Singaporean film director and producer Eric Khoo and Korean Ambassador Suh Chung-Ha as Guests-of-Honours for the night.

Watch A Movie With Kang Ha Neul + Meet-and-Greet Session

As part of Korean actor Kang Ha Neul’s first visit to Singapore, he will be attending KFF as well as well as his own meet-and-greet on 31st October! He will be joining fans at Shaw Theatres Lido for the screening of his starring film Twenty (2015) and he will greet the movie audience before the screening. Kang Ha Neul will also be personally giving out pre-signed posters to every meet-and-greet package holder and taking group pictures with the relevant package holders before the screening. Prior to that, he will also be attending another meet-and-greet session at Plaza Singapura. (more details below)


A rising young star in the competitive Korean showbiz industry, Kang Ha Neul started off from small musical theater shows and steadily gained popularity from starring in hit drama productions such as To The Beautiful You (2012, with SHINee’s Minho and Choi Sulli), Monstar (2013, with BEAST’s Yong Jun Hyung), The Heirs (2013, with Park Shin Hye, Kim Woo Bin and Lee Min Ho) and Misaeng (2014, with ZE:A’s Siwan and Kang So Ra). He has also starred in movies C’est Si Bon (2015) and Twenty (2015, with Kim Woo Bin and 2PM’s Junho), the latter of which will be screened for KFF 2015.
