[RUMOR] SNSD 2nd Asia Tour 2011 to happen in Singapore?!

Did you hear? Just two days ago, a “leaked official SM statement” appeared on various online websites – it was a scan of a piece of a slightly folded paper, with details to SNSD’s 2nd Asia Tour 2011 schedule. This is how it looks like:

"Leaked" SM official statement

The following is a translation of what is written above:

SNSD’s first Asian tour concert “Into The New World” last year gathered much success and interest from their fans all over Asia.

The date is yet to be confirmed. Meanwhile, SNSD will join other SM entertainers in the SM concert. They will perform as part of a world tour for their fans. This will take place in June at Le Zenith de Paris in France.

Because of the high demands from their Asian fans, SNSD’s second Asian tour concert will start in October this year. The concert will begin in Korea. Olympic Stadium, Fencing Arena in October. Two concerts in Taiwan in December. One concert in Malaysia in January, February for Singapore and Philippines, March for Indonesia and Vietnam. Last will be Thailand. The concert will open in May. Even so, no exact date has been confirmed.

Proposed concert dates, locations, and countries:
OCT Olympic Stadium, Fencing Arena Korea
DEC Not known Taiwan
JAN Not known Malaysia
FEB Not known Singapore, Philippines
MAR Not known, Indonesia, Vietnam
MAY Not known, Thailand

Is it real?

So everyone’s hyped up about it… But we ask, is this real? I’ve done some research on this and found the following suspicious:

1) The content

The translator was telling me, the whole text was written in inconsistent forms of writing – it sounds fragmented. Someone also commented on the picture on Facebook saying it was written with Google Translate.

2) Source of the scan

It was never found. Obviously if it was an official Korean statement, and it was leaked, the source should be a Korean one. However after searching for it on all Korean search engines like Daum, there were absolutely NO results. Surprisingly however, if you searched for it in English on Google, you’ll find it.

3) Hype

If there was to be a leak of this schedule, Korean media would definitely create a fuss about it, be it real or fake. However there has been no news up till now about it, at all. (It’d be a big issue on Allkpop, too)

4) Date of “leak”

Coincidentally, the “leak” was just after SM Entertainment announced SMTOWN LIVE in Paris – thus that sentence in the statement. If the leak was from the press conference, the date would be written in the statement (for publicity purposes). Also, it will sound more credible if you include this sentence in, if someone was to fabricate it.

So what do you think..?

This is my comments – of course it would be great if it’ll happen in Singapore! But in this instance.. Rather not be disappointed for nothing if it isn’t real? It is still totally possible for SM Entertainment to plan an SNSD concert in Singapore in due time, however.

What do you think of this issue? Leave your comments below!

It is definitely not. The Korean language is all wrong… Right since the start I read it I knew it!
And if you look and scrutinize it closely, you’ll find it obvious enough that it’s a piece of photoshopped one. What’s with it being all blurry, too.
