I got into Kpop in july 2010! It was my friend who posted a performance of After School with their song, Bang, on facebook. I didn’t know about After School before that. When i see the performance, i immediately fell in love with them. In just 2 months, i collect all of After School’s albums, photobook and even their sub-group, Orange Caramel’s album.

One thing i would like to change in Kpop is that there will be a union to unite all the groups and soloists together, including their fans. In this way, news, facts, pictures etc. related to the artists will be shared. Indirectly, those less famous groups and soloist will also be known to more Kpop fans.

I first got into Kpop when my curiousity about Kyuhyun was raised by a radio DJ (he mentioned Kyuhyun to be the youngest and best at singing member of SJ) and it was on his birthday (3rd Feb 2010) that I got totally immersed into Kpop! I was blown over by his vocals, then slowly I was introduced by my friend to other music in Kpop, such as Beast and Big Bang. Kpop has a charm of its own and it’s a drug you don’t wanna kick!

One thing I would like to change about Kpop, is to have less restrictions that allow more collaboration between artistes from different management companies. It will be a refreshing change and who knows more interesting creative works can come from such collaborations! Such as Big Bang with SJ, Dalmatian with Ukiss etc, it will be an eye opener and after all, music is supposed to bring people together =)

Kpop in my daily life is just like going to school everyday I guess? I have a twitter account and I follow maybe all kinds of kpop fan-based account and all the kpop members.Though they may not necessarily know me but at least I get to know what they’re doing! Just like how Kim Hee Chul has dominated the twitter trends for days and just like how Super Junior members went to Italy for a holiday? Yeah,I also check my timeline very often to make sure I don’t miss out on any tweet. For me,I think my most interesting experience of being a fan of kpop is knowing a lot more other kpop bands.I was a sole fan of Super Junior since 2006 and I thought that Super Junior was actually the best kpop band in the world but after I’ve gotten into kpop,I’ve known more bands and started to listen to other band’s songs and appreciating them.I’m not saying now that I’ve known other bands like SHINee,CNblue,Code V,I sort of “throw” Super Junior aside and not listen to their songs anymore,NO,they will forever be my ultimate bias because Super Junior was the band which got me into kpop. 😀

I got into the world of kpop in 2005,just when this group of awesome boys called “Super Junior” debuted.I know its been 5 years and some people even ask me,”You mean you don’t get sick of it? The whole kpopping thing?” Actually no. I think its the whole curiosity that made me want to know more about kpop. After knowing Super Junior, other bands started debuting and the curiosity of wanting to know more about kpop started to grow in me.Yes,I love almost every kpop song in this world! Everything from Oh!Brothers to DBSK and f(x).Every song is unique and different in its own way and its that specialty of each song that make kpop, kpop. Since I’ve known quite a lot of things about kpop,I think that there is one thing that needs to be changed. Its the antis. For example,if you are a fan of SNSD but you don’t like SHINee maybe because their songs are not your type, you don’t have to go around the internet bashing them.I think the antis need to change their attitude towards a person, try putting themselves in the kpop member’s shoes.Their life is hard and tired enough already.Just like quite sometime ago, some antis bashed Kyuhyun from Super Junior.I did not know the reason why but I know that the antis need a change of attitude.Yeah,I hope the antis can maybe keep their comments to themselves or maybe write it out in a journal to get it out of their heart, 🙂

i got into kpop in 2008, during the MIROTIC ERA.
needless to say, it was DBSK who got me into kpop.
i was watching suju’s Explorers of the Human Body then (my friend reccommended that to me, it was really laughter therapy!) and i remember watching the episode where dbsk guest-starred in. i was immediately drawn to them and i started searching of videos of dbsk on youtube. one thing led to another and i was hooked. i love dbsk’s music, i love their voices, their harmony, their talent. and i’m extremely proud of their humility.
while i’m a die-hard cassie, i’m also a fan of kpop in general.
i’m familiar with the kpop scene, the various artistes and that’s all thanks to dbsk, who got me into kpop.

ONE THING I WISH TO CHANGE: i hope a certain entertainment company can STOP abusing their power and influence by persecuting certain artistes. STOP sabotaging their activities and monopolizing the industry.

I start to be a K-pop fans at ard Jan 2010. Whenever I go home from school, I will listen to K-pop songs, especially “Gee” and I never ever felt bored even though I have listened to this song for 9 ++ months already. I also like f(x) Mr Boogie! Although I do not have money and time to learn K-pop dance from a professional teacher, I never give up. I learn dancesteps by viewing videos from youtube. Recently, I watch Miss A perform “Breathe” and I find the action of two hands making a cross shape at the neck there very interesting. As a result, I am performing that same action almost everyday now. Despite my family members saying that I look ugly in that action, I do not mind. Maybe that’s the power of K-pop fever! Watch this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AkYd_EKGyUg Learn that dance now like what I am doing now! 😀

I want to give Wonder Girl’s song “Nobody” to the group named “Secret”. Why? They are a four person girls group who are pretty and I HAVE 101% that they can perform “Nobody” better than Wonder Girls. Their Madonna and Magic and I want you back are my favourites and I like their style. If they were the one who performed “Nobody”, they are to be famous right now and not Wonder Girls! I am a K-pop fans since 2009. I love Secret and SNSD the most! Thanks for viewing! ;D

    Contest : 0401

1year ago, I started knowing Kpops stuffs. I know Kpops by BOF’s KimHyunJoong. I really admired him the very starting. Slowly, when I check up all the stuffs about him, i started knowing & understand Kpops. If without knowing him, i might not be here writing it. There’s nothing to change about Kpops. But it’ll be good if the kpops have a age limit. For example, getting or creating a group which under 16, it’s quite funny. So, if kpops could change, I think this is the part where i hope they would change. 🙂

    Contest: 0402

I found out that I can’t live without Kpops already. Everday my life even the conversation with my friends are all about Kpops. There’s one thing that i could always rmb was when ZE:A came to Sg. I won the tickets, i can only have handshake. So, i was behind my friend due to that i couldn’t find the presents for ZE:A so i told her to go up first. So, she shake Dongjun’s hands but Dongjun didn’t looked at him. He looked at me when shaking my friend’s hands. I was thinking why is he looking at me while i didn’t handshake with him. So when my turn, i get so nervous. All i could said was Saranghaeyo to them. He looked at me while shaking hand. I’m glad but was quite bad that Dongjun didnt see her.

I got into Kpop in Dec 2008 when my friend first let me watch a live performance of Amigo and let me listen to the song. I like R&B so SHINee’s beats caught my attention immediately. I fell in love with them, with Jonghyun, eventually branched out to other groups especially Super Junior. Kpop is nto just about eyecandy it’s about their good music as well lol.

One thing I would like to change is all the drama seriously. Like Jaebeom, Hankyung, Kangin and all that, I think the fans play a part in this in the reactions that they give but also the circumstances that all these stars are in are really not fair as well. That’s what I think because all the drama is destroying what makes kpop fun. But I still love them anyway 🙂

    >> I started to have interest in Kpop in November 2007. Before that, I like to read online stories and I came across with one fanfiction. The writer used Hero as the main character and DBSK. She wrote the story with great details that I could not help but searched on DBSK in the net and my first impression was, “WHOA!! HOT!”. My craze began that moment xD After some time, I started to know Super Junior and SS501. Now, I know almost all Kpop singers >__<" I tried to search that fanfiction to thank the author but to no avail =( I even forgot the title. Tsktsk.

One thing I wish to change about Kpop; the netizens. I don't get why they get so worked up when a celebrity did a mistake (Jaebum's case for example). The kpop entertainers are humans too! They are not perfect. Thus making mistakes can happen.

One fine boring day in 2006, the letters TVXQ suddenly appeared in my head. Bored of my holidays I started to find this band. That’s how my love for them and also for the Kpop world deepens as the years goes by. Simply huh how I fall in love with Kpop? Hehe but the Kpop world has brought me many goals. Most of them have very good academic backgrounds – so I have a mind set of “Oh! If I study hard and smart I can be a star like them!!”. So because of that my results improved tremendously. Haha previously my mum say Kpop is a bad influence and too much of it may hinder my grades but after seeing my results – she changed her mind and didn’t obliged me getting into the Kpop world. Haha guess what? Now even my mum, cousins and other family members are into Kpop too. Hahaha so family gatherings are not as boring as before cause we have a common topic to talk about!!!!

Hmm nothing is perfect – in either ways there’ always something that’s needed to be change in the Kpop world .. right? But for now if I can change something – that would definitely be changing the minds of the netizens and definitely decreased the usage of auto-tune in songs – cause this can really hide the truth bout the singer’s voice 🙂

I started to know about K-pop early December last year. My clique happens to consist of a F.T Island fan and DBSK fan.
To be honest, I was never a kpop fan, or rather I think those fans are a bunch of annoying girls who scream their lungs out for nothing! – Now, it’s a different story.

Though Nobody was the first Korean song I’ve heard, it leaves no significance in my life. Though my friends would now and then let me listen to their idols song, it wasn’t my genre. Until, I watched a group of my friends danced to Gee as a a forfeit. That’s when it grabbed my attention! From that onwards, I goggled and youtube-d about GEE, SNSD!
That’s when I came across ‘Boy’s Generation – consist of 2PM,2AM SUJU & Shinee doing a parody of Gee as a special performance.

That’s when I got to a know of Nichkhun!! Following month, 2PM released a new MV – Tik Tok. Coincidentally, Nichkhun was the main actor there. That’s when I was dumbfounded by him! Watching hot blood and wild bunny really made him my idol as we all know that he’s not Korean to start with!

Everyday, in school, I’d watch MVs and listen to Kpop song and everyday, I will know of a kpop song!

Now, I’m learning Korean and dancing Kpop songs too! I listen to Kpop songs everyday now! And goes for every concert there is! – Sadly, I’m much worse than my 2 friends who introduced me to Kpop and they regretted introducing me to it. 😀 That’s how bad I’ve become!

Officially attending a fanmeet/showcase for the first time – it was dedicated for 2AM. But it was a pretty short one, C.N.Blue arrival in Singapore – my hard work for standing by at the school computer waiting to buy tickets and ending up only having confirmed my tickets after 2 hours (luckily I got good seats). Welcoming them at the airport was truly happiness, seeing them face to face and their fan service at the fansign event was a bliss because I managed to say happy birthday to Jungshin personally though he only gave a faint smile due to his braces/retainers. I truly enjoyed their showcase as they really did live up to whom I expected them to be, they are genuine and sincere most importantly, to add on, knowing their songs and being able to sing with them as they put up their best performance on stage, it was really good because my friends and I, we were totally immersed in that rockin’ atmosphere! I love how their showcase showed their efforts in practising, how impromptu they could get, how playful and cheesy, most importantly their effort in speaking english because they not only wanted to spread their love through music, but communication was one part that kept us fans going throughout the showcase and their music journey. I’d love to have a photograph of them all together as a group because I guess all individuals putting them together – that’s what’s truly a band called C.N.Blue. I just hope people know why we love them, it’s not only for their looks (which people always think it is), it’s really about their talents and personalities.

Kpop has become many of our lives’ important segment. Checking out the major sites such as Allkpop, Xclusive, Koreastardaily, Newsen, fanclub forums for updates about the kpop groups we look up to. There are always surprises and disappointments awaiting for us – it’s like a gift every morning. Maybe seeing a happy twitpic on twitter by our lovely kpop groups/individuals, or it may be a negative rumour travelling in the kpop cyberworld that makes our day bad. Everyday kpop news are released almost every few minutes, may be a little hard to keep up with its fast pace but we all enjoy keeping up with these updates no matter how they make us feel. They have become part of us, part of our life already.

I started late loving Kpop; April 2010. I was talking to my friend on Facebook and saw that Jessica of SNSD was very beautiful! So I decided to venture into Kpop and found myself loving more groups and more groups!

One thing I’d like to change Kpop: Netizens’ attitude. I know all of us love Kpop and when someone does a cover of your favorite band/group, probably you would want to consider before criticizing the person who did the cover. Can you do better than that person? If yes, upload your cover as a video response on YouTube on that particular cover. If you don’t like Kpop, then be it, it’s our choice of music and music is universal. If you like Kpop and you do that, I think that it is very disgraceful to your own group/band. The competition between Kpop groups/bands are quite heated up, but they are still one big family: Kpop. And take a look at our netizens (Kpop ones), how they hate other groups/bands, how they troll. C’mon, Kpop is a big family so I’d hope one day, all Kpop lovers won’t hate on each others’ groups/bands! 😀

I am a k-pop fan when my frens ard me started to watch “nobody” and keep me updated will all the k-pop news like what mvs just come out, etc. They also recommend me this website! One thing I want to change about K-pop is that can Davichi and SNSD join to become a 11 members korean girl group? I love Davichi’s voice but I prefer SNSD’s dance…”Run..run…run…”. If they merge as one, when I see one mv, I can see them both and no need to watch two mvs in order to see them both! 😀

I got into K pop 5 years ago (2005) after watching Unforgettable Love (casted by dbsk).
I fell in love with jaejoong and yuhno after watching the show. Soon, i began to follow up their variety shows, songs and many more! One of their song, Rising sun, is the first song that I fell in love with! Especially this part by changmin: NOOOOOO!!! and micky: Now burn my eyes! hahahhaa!!
Not only that, I started to look out for different artist like Big Bang and many more!

The only thing that I want to change is that the artists are able to come to more and different countries more frequently. The fans in Singapore are waiting for dbsk for many years! And finally this year, 2010, JYJ are coming!!! And I am going for their concert in the later night!

    Fan account experience:
Few months ago, my friend and I went to Jang Geun Suk fan meeting! It was awesome! He looked as if he was taken out from the television!
However, when he appeared, it started to rain heavily and the compound started to flood! What made me impress was that all loyal fans stayed there even it was still flooding! awesome? This is the power of KPOP!

    How Kpop is my life?
I went to Korea, added Korean words in my everyday speech, listen to Korean song, watch Korean drama, cry with those Korean drama casts, check Allkpop for the latest updates everyday, eat Korean food ever week (kimchi will be the best), going to go for Korean lesson end of this year and intending to learn how to make Korean food!
How to proof that KPOP is my life? My friends scolded my crazy!! 😀

How and when did i get into the world of k-pop:
I got into K-pop last year 2009 June . When Boys Over Flowers was airing on Channel U. I fell in love with Jihoo . ( Leader of SS501) And I started seeing things about k-pop. Through SS501 ; I knew about DBSK and SUJU and this groups linked me to awesome other groups. Like: ZE:A ; Infinite ; Bigbang ; D-NA ; MBLAQ ; 2PM ; 2AM and many groups (: Recently ; TeenTop and Coed too. That’s how i got into k-pop . (:

One thing I wish to CHANGE about Kpop.
About the many groups coming to Singapore . Currently , many groups are coming to singapore like Beast who comes to singapore 4 Times this year. With these groups always coming, people who have average incomes like me is unable to attend the events. And, many fake fans who have the money will go for these events as they want to brag and showoff to all their friends . (K-pop is the NOW Trend) This attracted manymany fake fans. But I don’t mind them coming. Just not so often . Our artists will too get tired and lethargic due to their packed schdule . Like Junhyung of BEAST which have back pain .

Most interesting experience as a fan:
Recently, ZE:A has came Singapore . The most interest experience I had was at their Showcase. There was a conteset whereas Fans will be caught upon to go up on stage to ask the members a question. I was so lucky to be called up and it was the luckiest moment of my life. I asked Hyungshik a question and asked for a hug from him. It was the most interesting and memorable experience for me as a fan .

How K-Pop is in my daily life?
I am completely outdated with English songs and chinese songs. I am outcasted. I always listen to korean songs and watch korean dramas. I am always spazzing about k-pop and always tries to keep up with the new k-pop things. (:

I guess everything started the day the cable TV was installed in my dad’s room and the moment my brother and I started watching the MTV channel every opportunity possible. It started around 9 years ago the second we caught ShinHwa’s ‘Hey, Come on!’ MV. We were totally fascinated at how there were Chinese subtitles yet we couldn’t understand what the group was singing. Plus their dance was amazing. That was all it took to get my brother and I got hooked into the world of Kpop. And that was the very week we got our hands on our first Kpop album – ShinHwa’s ‘Hey, Come on!’.

The one thing I would want to change is probably the fact that I want time to go back to the past where the whole Hallyu wave has not risen and when everything was much simpler. As much as the Hallyu wave has brought us closer to our Korean loves, it’s different now and I don’t like how everyone is jumping into the bandwagon just because it’s a rising trend. The world of Kpop is not only about good looks, but also about talent and good song. I don’t like how good and talented voices are hidden just because they aren’t good looking. And I would totally want a concert where Kim Tae Woo, Bobby Kim and other talented singers would stage in and the fans are not there just because they have good looks and can dance, but because they can appreciate their good voice and their good music.

I guess the most random and most interesting experience ought to be when Baby Kim Hyung Jun came to Singapore and my friends and I chased him from the airport and his hotel. Even before Baby came out, my friend received a summon just because she parked behind the van which was used to fetch the dancers and the manager. And because of that, the officer who gave her the ticket managed to ask the van driver which hotel Baby was living in! =P So when Baby came out, we were beside the car and managed to see him real close. After which we headed to the car and sped off to the hotel. The funniest part ought to be the fact that we even arrived faster than Baby and Baby’s car was right behind us. XD We waited at the lobby in hope that he will head out during the night and that was when we met awesome Korean fans from Baby’s fansite ‘Pretty Boy’. These awesome ladies gave us his hand banner as a gift to thank us for supporting baby. This whole experience was memorable because I’m a green pea and this is the first time a SS501 member is in town. In addition, this was the first time we communicated with Korean fans with our fail limited Korean. It was like duck and chicken talking. However, because of Baby, I guess this has got to be the most memorable experience ever thanks to the summon we received. XD
